The CPKC Holiday Train is Rolling into Chillicothe!

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 | Lowe’s Parking Lot (off US Business Highway 36)
Train arrival: ~2:45 p.m. | Free concert: 3:00 p.m. (approx. 30 minutes)

The magic of the holidays is coming back to Chillicothe! The City of Chillicothe is thrilled to be one of the select towns to welcome the CPKC Holiday Train on Wednesday, November 26, the day before Thanksgiving!

Get ready for festive fun as this brightly lit train rolls into town, bringing with it twinkling lights, holiday cheer, and an incredible free concert for the whole family. The train will arrive on the CPKC tracks adjacent to the Lowe’s parking lot off US Business Highway 36, so bundle up, grab your loved ones, and come out early to get a good spot!

This is the 27th year of the CPKC Holiday Train, which has raised more than $26.1 million and 5.45 million pounds of food since its first run in 1999. The 2025 theme, “CPKC Has Heart,” celebrates a North America–wide initiative to improve heart health for men, women, and children by promoting the importance of quality nutrition and community giving.

This year’s entertainment lineup features Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde, performing live from the train’s dazzling stage for a fun-filled half-hour show starting at 3:00 p.m. You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind experience where the stage is on the train itself!

In the spirit of the season, guests are encouraged to bring a monetary donation or heart-healthy food items to support this wonderful cause. Donations collected at the Chillicothe stop will go to the House of Prayer, helping local families right here in our community.

So come join us for an afternoon of lights, music, and holiday magic as the CPKC Holiday Train makes its way through the “Home of Sliced Bread.” It’s a feel-good, Chillicothe experience that’s truly the greatest thing since… well, you know.
